Holiday Grieving

happy-holidays1

I started out to write some encouraging words to those of you who are trying to cope with the double whammy of grieving during the holidays. “Double” because as difficult as grief is to cope with, it is doubly difficult at the times we set aside for celebration. To you, the festive graphic above is anything but.

I say “started out to” because what I think you really want, rather than commiseration (I, too, have grief to bear), is something that you can do–that you can act on.

A web search resulted in this site within the Vitas Healthcare hospice pages specifically giving suggestions on some thing you might do to help you  through the holidays–no matter which one you are celebrating.

I hope it helps you. It did me.
